My stained glass journey actually started way back in high school where I had a very awesome art teacher who trusted a bunch of 16 year olds with sharp, hot and toxic objects. I made exactly one butterfly that ended up falling apart over time because I didn't put the jump rings on solder lines (rookie mistake!😖)
I decided to try my hand at it again in my late 30s and absolutely fell in love at that first successful break with my running pliers. I've been creating consistently for the past three years, and I'm still completely obsessed.
Most people know me through my Etsy shop, where I've been creating and selling stained glass patterns with a special focus on beginners who are just starting their journey into this beautiful craft. Seeing other artists bring my designs to life has been one of the most rewarding and coolest parts of this venture.
Now I'm excited to branch out into new adventures, starting with Glass Alongs! I love the idea of bringing people together, sharing techniques, celebrating creativity, and building an even stronger stained glass community.
One of my favourite things about stained glass is the community. Stained glass folk are some of the kindest, supportive, wholesome and most creative people around, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of it!
